jenifer lake, owner of sprout studio, will teach you how to make 2 different & fantastic vintage bead necklaces using a variety of vintage seed, glass, lucite, & metal beads to make your beautiful creations.  she will also show you how to make two hair pins (2 barrettes, 2 bobby pins, or one of each) with pretty vintage beads attached.

you'll be encouraged to let go of your critical brain & be inspired by the colors & textures & designs in the vintage beads & let them guide you to making an awesome piece!  you will have access to jenifer's extensive collection of vintage lovelies to string to your hearts content.

You are encouraged to bring in some small vintage beads you might like to see as a part of your necklace – that is if you have a treasure of beads just waiting to be strung & brought out & shown around town.

we will work at a relaxed pace & leisurely sip tea & eat snacks & chat while jenifer is there to assist & guide you through making your pretties.  you will leave jenifer's class with 2 beautiful vintage necklaces & 2 hair pins that you have created as well as the knowledge to make even more yourself – these can be completely addicting, so be careful!

about jenifer:

jenifer owns sprout studio (sproutstudio.net, sproutstudio.etsy.com) & the gleaner project (thegleanerproject.etsy.com) – a love for pretty, lovely, handmade items joined with all things vintage makes her a happy lady.  she loves to create in just about all ways; she's a knitter, a canner/jammer/pickler, a collagist, a self proclaimed image taker & maker, a clayer, & a baker, but unfortunately, just not a candlestick maker.  jenifer has been teaching in various settings for over 15 years.  she's taught at camps, workshops, studios, classrooms & to ages 5 years old to 60.  she currently is a kindergarten through 8th grade visual arts teacher in san francisco.  even though she has a southern heart, she feels lucky to call san francisco her home.  she is very excited to teach her first class at teahouse studio!

please see jenifer's pinterest teahouse studio board for inspiration & some ideas for what's in store during our classtime.
