About Mindy & Carissa:
Mindy Lacefield is a mixed media artist who draws inspiration from the nostalgia of her childhood. Creating from the heart of a 7 year old, rainbow colors find themselves mingling among bursts of neon. Intuitive mark making with oil pastels tell the story of the child that still resides so vividly in the soul. Working quickly, letting go, and allowing spontaneous splashes of color just happen has been her approach to facing the blank canvas. Being in the moment and enjoying the process of painting with no specific plans of the outcome continues to thrive as Mindy's method of creating. Exploring the duality of nature, the dark against the sweet side - evolve and marry together - to awaken the dream-state that resides in layers of the soul.
Mindy is a full time artist living in central Arkansas with her hubby and two pooches. When she’s not in the studio, she loves to watch independent films and is inspired by the movies of Tim Burton, Alfred Hitchcock, and Stanley Kubrick. Find out more on her website.
Carissa Paige is an artist enamored with self-exploration, inner-child work, and finding the joy in all things. She believes simply being alive is the ultimate creative act and everyone has the bones of an artist. She has a gift for feeling deeply, seeing, and hearing the unspoken, and is now empowering others to uncover these same gifts in themselves through Living The Art and Owning Your Story. Carissa is an artist, writer, animal lover, and one woman circus continually unfolding. Her work has been described as “dreamy artwork in pastel colors that haunt and inspire…ethereal, mysterious, like a dream that you can't quite catch, as it slowly slips from your waking mind”. She has a wild collection of vintage dresses, and often dresses up and takes documentary style self-portraiture as a form of healing and expression. She is a full time artist living in Central Florida with 5 furry people and 1 partner-in-crime.
When she’s not in her studio, she’s out in the woods exploring the Florida wilds, or gathering vintage treasures and sharing them with the world through her alter-ego, Jack & Tilly. Find out more on her website.
